Say, for instance, the E5 and the E7 are the more popular units and look the same. But they do have a different price tag, with the E7 costing more than a hundred dollars. So how can you tell if the additional cost will be a better option for you? Or are you better off with a bargain?

Flexispot E7 has more room for customization in the future
With E7, you have more versatility. It offers you more flexibility and room for future use.
The frame is width adjustable, so it can accommodate several tabletops. Should the need arise in the future, you can still use the same frame.
You can also get more value for your money since it is more stable. The E7 is more solid and stable at the highest desk height. It is a better option for taller people.
You can go for the taller frames and have the desk go up to as high as 54”, which you’ll not find in a lot of units. It’s also rare to find one that can go as high, most maxes out at 50” or 51”.
But for shorter people, they have to choose the T frame so that it can go as low as 22”. This can be used by petite people too.
The E7 also has a greater weight capacity and a longer warranty. So a couple a more stable frame, you can then easily justify the additional cost. The E7 can bear as much as 355 lbs.
So if you’re growing your working stetson and foresee a more elaborate setup in the future, you don’t have to change your standing desk. You may even be able to share working stations in the future and the deks will have sufficient muscles.
The E5, though it’s not like the E1 which is an entry-level desk, is suited more for a laptop and monitor-only kind of situation. And since it tends to get a bit shaky at the highest desk height, it is better suited for people of average height and those who stand 5’3”. If you are 5’1”, then the E5 might not be able to go low enough. You need a desk that can go as low as 22”.
The E7 also has a few extra features that make it stand out from the E5. It has an anti-collision feature, an advanced motor system, an LED display, USB ports, and a silent mode. Though the E5 has pretty much the same decibels as the E7, you will be able to work in silence more with the E7.
What about the more expensive Flexispot E8?
So now that it’s clear that E7 will bring much more to the table, what about E98? The E8 has almost the same specs as the E7, but it does have a higher cost.
It is a more elegant version of the E7. It looks more polished and has a rounder silhouette. But pretty much everything is the same, so if you do not pay close attention, you will not notice.
This additional cost is more of the aesthetics and has nothing much to do with the performance of the desk, except for the stability. The E7 feels more solid, and you will be able to tell the difference between the two if you use both desks at the max height. The E7 will feel more steady, when you type in your laptop, it will not budge.
The E7 is by far the more cost-efficient and value-for-money offering from the brand
Looking at the prices of the other models of the brand and their performances, we can say that the E7 offers more value.
It’s not the most elegant looking nor the most modern unit, but it performs better considering also the price.
It is more stable than the more elegant and costly E8. But E7 is not too shabby, it looks like your usual functional standing desk. It isn’t much of an eye candy compared to the E8, the EHD5, Or the Vici desk, but it has a higher weight capacity than them.
So this is a very functional and stable unit. And since it offers two types of frames, one that can go lower and higher than the other units, it can be used by more groups of people.
The E5 Pro is the next alternative
If you are on a budget we’d rather you get the E5 than the EC1 or E1 The E5 is the budget-friendly option to the E7. Despite the E1’s low price, it can be quite wobbly.
The weight capacity is also lower. But if you’re just going to use it for a laptop kind of situation, it can suffice.
Flexipot E7 might not be the prettiest desk though
Taking into consideration what we have discovered above, the E7 seems to be the best deal out of the majority of the Flexispots desks. But of course, there has to be an area that can be sacrificed. And this is the aesthetics. As mentioned, the E7 looks very basic. But the tabletop design might not be everyone’s cup of tea. The printed wood-like graphics of the E7 does not seem luxurious, it can honestly come off a bit tacky.
Though the E7 is a frame like the E5, the tabletop options that go with the frame are not that eye-catching. As mentioned, it is very basic.
It’s a far cry from how the VICI or the ESD1 looks. But here is where you have the option to get a separate desk if aesthetics is one of your main priorities for your standing desk.
The E7 is kind of the go-to Flexispot unit. You’ll most likely find it quite useful and steady. While the E5 is also a promising and a more affordable unit, if you have the extra money to spare, then you’ll find the extra cost very justifiable.
