The Stand Steady Tranzendesk is one of the affordable manual desks that can be fitted with a second tier. Not a lot of desks in the market offer this option. The basic desk retails at 299 dollars. You can choose to have the second tier at an additional 399 dollars.
And if you need more storage space, you can upgrade your Tranzendesk with an optional drawer. And more good news, you can even get two shelves if you have a lot of office supplies to keep. With the single shelf, you’ll be shelling out roughly 419 dollars. And if you upgrade to the desk with the 2 drawers, it’s going to cost you 449 dollars.
The Tranzendesk is one of its kind. You won’t find much-standing desks that give you an option for additional drawers too. And all of that at a very affordable price.
But if you’re looking for a standing desk with fixed drawers, the Woolsey standing desk is a great choice. It’s a fully electric 60-inch desk that’s fitted with three drawers. You also have an option to upgrade it with a second tier, but it’s just quite small and can only hold a single monitor. This is a handsome desk that’s made of black walnut. So the price is likely to be expensive at 3000 dollars.
Though you can find a more affordable two-tiered desk with Fully Jarvis Electric Albright Desk. It’s a lovely maple desk with a second-tier and two small drawers between the first and the second tier. But brace for the price, it will cost you more than 1000 dollars.

Jarvis also has a hand-cranked desk that runs at 647 dollars.
And there’s just something thrilling about a manually adjustable desk. Though this type of adjustable desk isn’t recommended for those who have injuries or those who are physically challenged.
But you won’t be intimidated with the manual crank. Manual does not necessarily mean that you have to flex all of your muscles to adjust this table. On the other hand, it’s quite easy to lift the table using the hand crank. You also have an option on which side you’ll mount the hand crank. So even left-handed people will find it pretty easy to manually adjust the desk.

You can tilt forward or backward depending on what feels more comfortable for your neck. And the distance between the two tiers is 4.5 inches. I find that comfortable enough and didn’t strain my neck after a day’s work.
The addition of the clamp on the desk is quite convenient. It can free up almost 3 square inches of space. Furthermore, you won’t have any neck strain after a day’s hard work.
The removable clamp on the shelf can afford to hold about 35 lbs of weight. And the total weight capacity of the deks is around 154 lbs.
Simple and sleek design
In terms of the design, there isn’t anything too fancy about this 55 inch Standing Desk.
It looks sleek and simple. The silver frames with telescoping feet and black laminated desk fit a minimalist and modern office.
In terms of the design, it’s a bit similar to the two-tier desk of Stand Up Store Desk. Though the top tier is fixed and the steel frames don’t have any crossbar for added stability. But it also boasts of a large working area. And the monitor is placed at eye level. It retails at 299 dollars. Though the top tier is already fixed and can’t be tilted inward or outward.
The sleek and simple design of the Stand Steady Tranzendesk works for a small home office too. But if you’re looking for a more luxurious aesthetics, the Bestar Hampton is a great option. It has a more luxurious finish and boasts of more storage space.
The only downside is the top tier can only hold one monitor. But you have a lot more space on the first tier since it’s a corner table with an L shaped desk. It costs around 500 dollars.
Another great option for a two-tier desk is the Gaze Desk. It’s a premium Smart standing desk that’s electrically adjusted. One advantage is that it can be connected to your phone app where you can track your meetings and deadlines.
Desk surface
The desk surface is made of medium-density fiberboard. One advantage of this material is that it’s chip and scratch-resistant. So an accidental brushing of your paperclips on the desk won’t cause any harm. And you may also choose from 5 desktop colors. Though the entire look of this standing desk is quite simple. You may add a bit of flair to it by matching it with different colored frames. You also have 4 frame colors to choose from.
Can be easily moved around
This two-tier desk boasts of 4 quality caster wheels. The 3-inch furniture grade casters are sturdy and allow the desk to be easily moved from one room to the other. In terms of stability, I have no qualms about this affordable desk. It’s fitted with a crossbar between the two frames. So it adds more stability to the desk, even at its highest desk setting. It can be adjusted from 29-46 inches, so it generally works for almost everybody.
Assembly
The desk will arrive fully unassembled in all its raw form. But don’t be intimidated, the desk is pretty easy to set up. All the tools that you need are also included in the package. And the instructions are simple and straightforward.
Though, you might need to ask for help in bringing the legs together. It could be quite heavy for a single person with average strength.
